“I am so thrilled with my new Kindle. I kept holding out because I frequent the library so much and didn’t think I could top it by having to purchase books. I’ve found the prices to be reasonable as well as many deals where there are free promotions. My favorite features are the ability to look up a word in a matter of seconds as well as make notes or highlights. My next favorite feature is to change the font size since I’m holding out as long as I can before I need to use reading glasses. I recommend it.”
“My reading has really slacked off lately and I think this kindle is going to completely change that. Here are the things I love about it so far:
* I usually have several books going at one time with them all scatterred about the house in different places. The kindle allows me to have all my books in one place. No more searching for the book or even remembering exactly which books I have started. They are all right there on my kindle home page.
* Being able to adjust the font size is GREAT. I noticed last night when I was reading in bed I had to jump it up one size because my eyes were tired and the lighting was dimmer.
* It is so comfortable to hold. You don’t have to worry about the book closing on you. And hitting the next page button is so easy. It’s right where it needs to be.
* No more little sticky notes marking my place in a book. When you stop reading, kindle remembers where you were automatically. So no problem if you fall asleep with it in your hand.
* Beaing able to read Chapter 1 for free is awesome. However, this will probably cost me a lot of money.I’ve already purchased 3 books in less than 24 hours.
* The fact that your samples and purchases are just automatically wirelessly downloaded to your kindle is so nice. No hassling with USB ports or synching up the device. It’s just there right after your purchase.
* I like the little Location indicator at the bottom which tells you what percentage complete you are. It’s kinda motivating seeing that you’re at 80% complete.
* It’s way easier to read than a computer screen.
* It fits right in my purse. “

“My husband & I both purchased Kindle 2′s before our recent trip to Italy. We LOVE these! We did not own previous Kindles so I can not speak on transferring books from the older unit to this one. But as a new owner, we are thrilled. From the second it arrived it was easy to use – set up was simple. I did have one question regarding the use of two units from one account so we could share books with each other and talked to a very nice gentelman who answered that question and gave further advice too. The Kindle has been easy to use. It was great to travel with. We both got the Kindle covers, which I think is essential. I read a lot so instead of hauling a ton of books with me I was able to carry one lightweight device and read as much as I wanted. The screen is easy on the eyes – you can adjust the font size easily. I did read the user guide that is loaded into the Kindle and learned a lot of great “tricks”. I would highly recommend.”
